The Home Stretch.

I only have 5 weeks left. I will never be pregnant again, so I guess I should probably really enjoy these last few weeks of feeling this little baby move inside me. I forgot what an amazing feeling this is and with just one baby in there, it moves and grooves all day long! Yes, it is an "it" for now. I know it's a baby, but without knowing the sex, it's an "it" to me.

It's also a very strange feeling knowing that that Cash and Presley won't be the "babies" anymore. I just really want to take in these next few weeks with them. They are turning into little people now, so I guess right now is the perfect time for another baby to enter the scene. I really think Presley is going to be such a good big sister, where as I think Cash might get a little jealous and be a little rough towards the baby. He's turning into a boy. A rough and tough boy. At times you catch him in his cuddly lovey stage, but then quickly he returns to being a monster. I asked my dr. about that yesterday, he said he'll return one day, but for now it's a typical stage for a boy. So deep down, I am secretly crossing my fingers for a little girl. Mostly, just to protect Presley. Presley against 2 boys....poor little girl. Maybe having 2 sisters will calm Cash down?? So, for all those new moms who have cute little cuddly sweet boys right now, embrace every moment, they change into monsters! Seriously!

The weeks ahead are luckily jam packed with stuff to do, so hopefully this time will go by fast. I actually am looking forward to my hospital stay. I believe it to be a mini vacation. Spend one day being a mom to twin toddlers and giving birth and staying in a hospital with a newborn is a vacation. Seriously. It's going to be a hard adjustment, but I think going from 2 to 3 kids will be easier than going from 0 to 2. How the hell did Travis and I do it? Being brand new parents to 2 newborns? Seriously? And we are still married and alive to talk about it. It was a blur. It blows me away. It just goes to show how strong I can be. I can do this. I can do this.

Today Travis has a double header for baseball, so we'll be going down to the baseball park. Cash is OBSESSED with baseball. It's obvioulsy in his blood, since both his dad and uncle have been playing forever. Travis is so happy about this. Immediately when Travis walks through the door, Cash has his bat in hand and wants Travis to pitch the ball to him. For a 2 year old, he's got a pretty good throw and swing. Then, Travis has a meeting with a new client tonight, so it'll be a long day, just me and the twinnies......

Handsome Boy.

Travis gave Cash a haircut this morning. Cash was such a perfect little man and just sat in his chair and let daddy cut away......
He is no longer looking like a baby....he's a boy now. It makes me sad to watch the twinnies grow.

The finished cut. Isn't he such a good model?? He was pissed about something, can't remember. He's probably annoyed with mommy taking a million photos....

Seriously...he's a little boy now.

Baby #3

I had another appointment....baby is going to be coming Thursday, 5/6 at 8am! I am so excited! Only 41 more days, not that I am counting.

I looked through my chart and at this time with the twins, I had already gained 30 pounds and my belly was measuring 44. This time with 1 baby, my belly was measuring 33 and I've only gained 18. Crazy how much of difference it is!! I was measuring 33 at 23 weeks. I guess I don't have anything to complain about anymore.....

I was also looking through at the information about the ultrasound to see if they had found out the sex during the ultrasound and put in my folder, but nothing. See, I am such a bad snooper.

Cookie Monster.

You woul think that Presley is my little helper in the kitchen, but nope, Cash is my little chef. If I am cooking, he's always by my side. Today, the weather is terrible with lots of wind, so we decided to make cookies.

My little cookie monster!

Getting Ready for Baby.

This poor child is lacking in the clothing dept. I know I have about 15 totes of clothes in the garage, but of course he/she needs its own little clothes. Unisex clothing is hard to find. So, this is what we have so far. I figure a few clicks at BabyGap afterwards will do the job. There isn't wrong with hand-me-downs!

Party Time.

We celebrated another birthday this weekend. Jameson turned 1! His party was on Saturday and it was nice because Alison and Amber drove over. We were trying to get a pic of all the kids together....obviously it didn't work.

Presley and the birthday boy!

Presley and her pearls. She loves her pearl necklace.
Alison and Amber came over after with Carter and Macy. Presley is just in love with babies! I am so excited to bring a little brother/sister home for her, Cash however is a little rough and I am not so sure about.......

Date Night.

First "date night" is planned. I am soooo excited. I bought tickets to see Kings of Leon (my fav) at the George July 17th. Babysitter is already planned. I can't wait for a hot summer night concert at the George. Cold beer and hot weather!

Update in the Gibson House.

Time is just flying by....before you know it, the 5th little member will be here, which I cannot wait for! The belly's growing, but I luckily not that big. Being pregnant with 1 baby is quite easy. I had my appt last week and everything is good. Baby and belly is growing, as I am measuring a perfect 32 weeks. I have gained 16 pounds, which I am sooo ready to get off. The only thing I really have to complain about is that during the beginning of the pregnancy my hair shedded a lot. Then thankfully it stopped. Now it has started again. I go in today to get my thyroid tested, but probably its most likely either a vitamin deficiency or a hormonal thing. So, I have been eating lots of veggies and fruits and trying to not be consumed by this. I know it'll go away, it's just annoying. I hate it!

We went to Seattle this past weekend. Spent some time at Grandma's. Went to the children's museum. Did some shopping. Played outside. Went to a birthday party at Cabella's for the Bagley's little boy Grayson. I had a nice little dinner with girlfriends and got some cute gifts for Baby G. There isn't much I need, just a few necessities, which I was lucky to recieve. So, now we are totally ready to bring little baby home!! Only 7 weeks left.

The weather over here has been nice in the morning/early afternoon, so the kids and I have been playing a lot outside and going to park. The kids have adjusted quite well to the new time change, definataly a lot better than last time!

Travis is busy with work. He's got quite a few home starting in the next few months, so I am super duper happy about that! We are putting our house on the market as soon as the house next door sells. We have picked out property that we are going to buy and we'll live in a rental while we build. Travis's brother Todd is the Varsity baseball coach at Ellensburg High School, so Travis has voluteered himself to be an assistant coach. He has practice everyday in the afternoons and games start today. Cash is obsessed with baseball, so we are looking forward to the games.

Thats our little life update!

Cereal Time.

Cash is such a dramatic eater. I just love how he's looking more and more like a little boy.

You might not be able to tell by the pics, but he actually loves cereal.

Chalk.

Trying out the new sidewalk chalk. The weather's been so nice, we try to soak up some Vitamin D everyday.

Barney.

We've been hit by the big purple dinosaur. Presley is obsessed. She hands you the remote and says "Barney" until you put it on for her. She sings, "I love you, you love me, where a happy family. With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. Next time say you love me too!" 849 times a day. Now I know why my mother hates this creature.

Future Fashionista??

She's starting to get her own sense of style! I was my mother's nightmare when it came to dressing me. I always insisted on picking out my own outfit. I guess this is payback?

Belly.

31 week belly with 1 baby.
31 week belly with 2 babies.

There is a considerable amount of difference in size.

The BIG 3-1!

This week is all about 3-1. I turned 31 on Sunday and I am also 31 weeks pregnant! Travis and I were lucky and got the grandparents to drive over and watch the kiddos, while we headed to The Suncadia Lodge for a night. It was perfect. Exactly what I wanted and needed! We had a fabulous dinner, relaxed, watched some good movies "Up in the Air" and "Crazy Heart", had spa treatments, ate a yummy breakfast, then headed home.

Then came home, ordered pizza and watched the Oscars.

Got some fun new shoes, a brand new set of knives (mine were so dull and I've actually already cut myself twice with the new ones), some new pasta bowls and gift cards. Overall, this birthday was a success. I feel like 31 is going to be better than 30. I have officially entered my 30's and feel really good about it. Now....only 8 more weeks and I can pop this baby out!

New Obsession.

Cash loves to vaccum. He's just like his mommy...as I am also obsessed with clean carpets. He just goes to town vaccuming and this is something I am not going to object to.

Dinnertime.

I know, a lot of pics of the twins eating dinner....Travis took them and I just think they are so cute. Feeding the twins is a somewhat challenging task. They both have such different tastes, that it's a rare occasion that I find something they both like. Cash likes waffles and pancakes, where Presley doesn't, she likes omlettes and yogurt. Cash likes chicken strips, where Presley like cheeseburgers. It's seriously a neverending battle. Speghetti nights, I hit the jackpot, they both eat it. One thing however they love......french fries. The double arches are a hit in our house!

Presley of course has her binky close by.....as we rarely go without. I know I should take it away, but I figure it gives me so many quiet moments, why mess up a good thing?
We finally did away with the high chairs! I am sooooo happy about.

Twinnies "2nd" Birthday!

We had friends and family over on Sunday to celebrate the twins's birthday. They ate cupcakes, played and opened presents, then a few hours later, had the meltdown and then took a 4 hour nap. They partied hard! My dad and Maureen with the twins.
My mom and the twins. Presley is picking her nose, she loves it.

Presley got a little hawaiian bikini and Cash had to have it on last night. Almost immediately after he had it on, he wanted it off. It was kinda funny.

Whew...a lot of work goes into a birthday party. Thanks to everyone who came. The twins had a blast and are so lucky to have such good friends and family who love them! Now...my birthday is next Sunday. I am turning 31. I feel good about though bc I am at a good place in my life. Both Travis and I are so lucky to have the life we have. We will be celebrating by going for the night to the Suncadia Lodge, while Grandma and Grandpa Kerber babysit. I am excited to have a spa day, a nice dinner and some relaxation time.
