1st Snowfall of the Year

Here are some pics of all the snow and it's only going to get worse:(
P.S. I HATE snow!

The "Pre-Closet"

This is what their closet looks like before it's organized. Everything is just piled all over the nursery right now (I won't post pics of what the room looks like) Between bouncers, swings, jumperoo's, play yards, bath tubs, blankets, car seats, bags of clothes, it's a disaster! Travis and I plan on installing a closet organizer bc they have so much stuff and the dresser won't fit it all in. The closet is already more than 1/2 full with clothes.

Dr. Appt.

I had my doctor appointment this morning. Travis came with me today, which was nice. It snowed about 6 inches last night and there is no way I am driving my car in the snow, so he was sweet and took me. He was even outside this morning at 8am shoveling the driveway and icing the walkways!

Everything is still going well. I gained more weight.....at this point I am not telling numbers. It's scary and I hate it. No swelling or high blood pressure, which is good. The dr. measured my belly to be 36 weeks, which is almost full term for a singleton pregnancy.

My original due date is Feb 25th. But, since twins don't go past 37 weeks, it's Feb. 3rd. Dr. Larsen doesn't think I will make it out of January without having the babies. Travis and I have a bet and we think I'll have them at 35.5 weeks-which is less than 2 months aways.............scary!!

I am not at all nervous about the labor, I am more nervous to bring them home!! I know I'll be fine because luckily we have so much love and support from family! Everyone is so excited for them to come. I just hope they are both healthy.

I had my first baby shower a few weeks ago. I want to thank everyone who came, it was so much fun to recieve such wonderful gifts:) I can't believe how much stuff I have accumulated so far. These babies are SPOILED!!! Travis and I picked up the nursery furniture last weekend. My mom is coming next weekend to paint, so it'll be all up by next weekend and I will definately post pics as soon as it's finished. I can't wait-it's going to be so cute!

Other than that nothing is new. I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks, along with my next appointment. I still can't believe that this is almost over. It's crazy how quickly life changes! Travis told me today how proud of me he is. That meant a lot because I feel like the husband's don't understand how hard being pregnant actually is, especially when you are carrying twins. He's going to be such a good dad!

XOXO Katie and the Twinies!

Lily and Lucy go for a ride!

I spent the afternoon yesterday putting together the stroller, bouncers, swing, bath tub, etc and I wanted to test them out. Lily and Lucy were perfect for the job. Lily just tolerated it, however Lucy did NOT like it. We strolled them around the house for a bit and eventually I think they liked it. Travis calls this stroller my "Ford 350" because it's HUGE!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Kerber

My grandparents came out from Minnesota for Thanksgiving, so it was very nice to see them for the holiday. Travis wanted me to pose to the side so he could he could get a side profile of the belly. He calls me the "Twinkie Holder" and the twins are his "Twinkies" It's cute.

27 weeks Belly Pics

Here is a picture of my belly at 27 weeks. I can't believe that it has grown so much. I know to some people it may seem not very big, since I am having twins, but to me, it's BIG!! I am starting to get very uncomfortable!!

Ultrasound Appt.

Yesterday we had another ultrasound. I LOVE these appointments and so does Travis! So far, both babies are head down, side-by-side. I was so happy to hear that because I really want to try to have them naturally, w/drugs of course! The Dr. said they can still move, however they don't have as much room as just 1 baby and they are getting bigger and bigger, so I am just going to keep my fingers crossed they stay in this position.

Everything else was so perfect! Their hearts have the four chambers, their brains are developing, 10 fingers, 10 toes, lots of fluid in each sack and they are exactly the same size! Oh, and they are definatley a BOY and GIRL!!!

So, now, we just have to make sure they don't come before 36 weeks. My dr. says that most likely I'll deliever in the last week of January or early February. That means, I only have less than 3 months left!

I have been watching so many baby shows, Birth Day, Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby, that I am actually not afraid of labor at all, it's bringing them home from the hospital that terrifies me! Luckily i'll have so much support that I know we'll manage.

I have another Dr. appt tomorrow. I am there all the time!! As soon as I am in the 3rd trimester, which is only in 3 weeks, I'll be there every week and I'll be getting ultrasounds every 2 weeks.

It's getting uncomfortable to sleep right now. I have always slept on my belly and it's so hard to not be able to sleep in that position. I also woke up on Monday with a cold, so I have been very lazy, trying to get rid of it, but luckily I woke up today and was feeling much better!

It was Travis's birthday last week, Oct. 31 and he turned 29!! I made him a yummy German Chocolate Cake and I practically ate the entire thing. Finally I woke up one morning and I started to cut myself a piece and thought that I was being disgusting, so I took it and threw the last 1/4 of it away. Travis came home and thought I had polished off the rest of the cake and didn't believe me when I told him I threw it away. I don't know what my problem is lately. I just LOVE treats!!! Desserts, especially brownies!! I find myself in the baking aisle a lot at the grocery store. It's terrible!! I feel like an addict. I can't stop!! At least I have had no cravings for french fries!!! Other than that, I have been craving oatmeal and soy lattes from Starbucks. These babies are taking up so much room in my belly that I get so full, so fast, so I try to eat little meals throughout the day.

Anyways, not much else to update everyone on. I am enjoying my relaxing time of doing nothing. My house is so clean and organized, which I love! I rarely get out of sweats, but I don't mind because I don't want to buy maternity clothes. I would rather wait and go buy lots of fun stuff after that babies are born and I can fit into normal size pants and tops. Hunting season ends this weekend!!! yea!!! I get my husband back, but now he's obsessed with fixing up his old Bronco, but at least he doesn't have go anywhere except the garage for that. He's got a lot on his plate right now with work, so he's a bit stressed. He's been so great and thinks I look so beautiful, even though I feel like a whale!
