Fun in the sun!

Baby V takes a snooze...

Well, it's hopefully officially summer. We've had a week straight of beautiful weather, so we broke out the new pool and the twinnies are loving it. Let's hope it lasts.....

Almost...

I told Cash to go throw away his diaper and this is what i found. He understands the concept of throwing away his diapers, next up is helping him understand the concept of potty training.....I have been dreading it bc I have 2 to do. I also wanted to wait until after Violet was born. Next Monday we are starting it.......wish us luck!

Special Delivery.

Look at what arrived at my front door today??? Maybe it's time to re-think the whole "buying online" thing.......j/k a special delivery of twinnies is the biggest treat ever!!!
Travis took the kiddos camping again this weekend, while Alison and Carter came to hang out with me. I am still hesitant to take little Violet up camping. Camping with a newborn just doesn't sound appealing, actually, who am I kidding.... camping in general doesn't sound appealing, but less appealing with a newborn. Especially when I can't drink multiple beverages to get through it.

Dad's 60th Party.

My aunt Aissa took these fun pics of the kiddos at my dad's 60th. I just love them!

Father's Day.

A little late for a shout out to the best daddy we know.....

Not only does he give me the cutest and most perfect babies, he's a pretty darn good dad.

  • He gets up with the twins every morning, so i can sleep in with Violet.
  • He changes diapers....lots of diapers.
  • Gives lots of baths.
  • Watches endless amounts of Yo Gabba Gabba and The Upside Down Show cuddling with twinnies, (which for those people who have watched those shows, is pretty amazing!)
  • Takes the twins camping, so mommy can have a break.
  • Works hard....very hard, so we can have everything we need/want and allows me not to work and stay home. And doesn't even get mad when endless amount of packages seem to show up on the porch....

Thanks Daddy....your the best!

Warming Up.

He's slowing warming up to Violet. He occasionally steals a few kisses.

BBQ, cupcakes, wine, cousins, friends, and family. What a good way to celebrate 60! We love you papa! Thank you for loving my kids so much:))

Reading Buddies.

I love catching precious little moments like this. It's such a treat to have twins, even though most of the time they can be little monsters. They are such perfect little playmates.

6 Weeks.

I
Baby Violet will be 6 weeks tomorrow. She's starting to get bigger, growing out of newborn clothes, moving up to size 1 diapers an getting little rolls on her legs. It makes me sad. I wish I could just keep her little forever! I still don't know who she looks like, whether it be Travis, I, Cash or Presley.

Garden Update.

I know, I know, cheesy posting pics of garden, but I do feel quite proud of it. You see, I can't grow anything, so this is such an accomplishment! Spinach, lettuce, leeks, dill, and carrots. My cucumbers died because it had gotten too cold, so I have to replant them this week now that it's warmer out.

My tomato plants. Yes, those are the topsy turvy "Seen on TV" planters. They work! My plants have tripled in size and already have yellow flowers on them.

Happy Graduation.

My sister graduated from high school on Monday. Sunday, we had a celebratory BBQ at my mom's. I still can't believe Alayna is done with high school. It makes me feel old. I remember graduating from high school and thinking 30 was old. Now, I am 31 and I don't feel old. It's crazy how time flies. Sometimes I just wish I could be 18 again....Alayna, David (her bf), Marley (her crazy dog) and Cash.

Little Presley. My kids LOVE my mom's yard. It's huge and there is so much exploring to do.

Her ensamble. She's got the beginnings of a fashionista...

Me and baby Violet. I rarely get a photo of us together.

The BEST bag.

As a mom, you can never have too many bags. (I try to explain this to my husband, along with the "you can never have enough strollers") You need a diaper bag, a bag for snacks, a bag for toys, etc.....so, ever since a sippy cup spilled in my nice leather Tory Burch bag, I have since retired it for toddler use. I just bought a L.L. Bean canvas bag (monogrammed of course!). I love it! For $30 you can't really go wrong. I figure it'll be great for the beach, park, just about anything. They also make great gifts too!

Month One.

It's been one month. Crazy...... It's actually been a lot easier than I thought it would be, however it's very far from easy! I find myself asking my friends questions the newborn stage, as if I wouldn't know the answers from when the twins were little, but now that I think about it, I've blocked out the first few months of the twins's life out of my mind because I can't remember anything!
Dear little Violet is growing. She's the sweetest little baby. She's my little buddy and goes everywhere with me. She rarely likes to be put down. She has her dr. appt tomorrow and I am excited to see how much she weighs. She's quite petite, but I see some little rolls forming. She eats good. Gets up about once a night to eat. Her and I nap every afternoon together while the twins are napping, she's the best little cuddler. She's perfect. Absolutely perfect!

It's Growing....

My garden..it's growing! It's so much fun to go outside and see the new growth. My cucumbers didn't make it. It's been too cold, so I'll just plant new plants when it gets warmer out. My tomatoes are getting flowers on them, so that's a good sign. I am so excited!

Camping with Daddy.

Memorial Weekend in the Gibson house is always spent up in the woods. I didn't go this year bc I wasn't going to bring Violet up there. I went over to my mom's house and Travis took the twins camping. They did great! They left on Friday and didn't come back until Monday. It was so nice having just one baby and the twins had a blast being with Daddy.
Presley lounging....

The camper.
