What we've been up to.....

Well....we've been sick.  That's what we've been up to.  So, these pics aren't very exciting due to the fact that all kids have had temps, coughs and very very snotty noses.   I have also caught a bug and have been sneezing up a storm.  So, pardon the not very exciting pics...obviously none of me, as I haven't gotten out of my sweats.
Violet helping mommy pick out her outfit....

 Eating her cheerios....not feeling good.
 Learning to walk.
 Waving "HI".
Making crafts....(glitter is so NOT fun!)
Playing cranes.
Drawing.
Playing Peek a boo.
Eating chalk.

The twins hate getting their pics taken, obviously Violet doesn't mind.  Haven't left the house since Sunday.  Fun times.

My Favorite Day.

I was looking back at old pics from the day Violet was born.  It was my most favorite day.  Don't get me wrong, the day the twins were born is also tied with this day, but in a totally different way.  With Violet, I knew what to expect.  Not knowing the sex made the anticipation for the delivery that much more exciting.  Plus, I had done the whole newborn thing before (twice), so I wasn't nervous, mostly just excited.  Excited for that smell.  Excited for the little noises newborns make all night long.  Excited to have the nurses place my little burrito in my arms for the first time.  Excited to examine her little body.  I am one of the weird people that actually enjoyed my hospital stay.  I loved every moment.  It was relaxing.  3 days cuddling in bed with Violet.  Now that Violet is almost 10 months old, I get sad that she's getting bigger.  I am not eagerly awaiting for her to start walking, for her to stop nursing, for her to start talking.  I want her to stay little.  I love going into her room and watching her sleep with her little booty up in the air.  I love it that she can't talk back to me or be naughty.  Babies are the best.  Looking at this picture makes me sad that I got my tubes tied.

Car Seat.

Here I am again....researching car seats.  Main requirement?  To find a car seat that I can fit all 3 in the back seat.  Travis will KILL me when I tell him we have to buy new car seats.  So far, we've bought 6. When I look in the rear view mirror, this is what I'll see.  It might be time for a minivan.....(joking).

What I am loving right now....

These are quite possibly the MOST comfortable shoes.  EVER.  I love them.

If you aren't a part of Amazon Mom, you should be.  It's free to sign up. You get FREE 2 day shipping and discounted prices on all sorts of baby/household products, if you purchase $25 a month.  I have automatic shipping for diapers, wipes, babyfood once a month, so I don't have to think about it.  This babyfood is the BEST invention!  Violet feeds herself and it's so great for on-the-go food.

Violet got these cute little Moccasins a few weeks ago.  Irresistibly cute for babies.

Twinnies turn 3!

The twins turned 3 on Saturday.  We went to Seattle to celebrate with my parents.  We kept it low key this year, as I didn't feel like having a big party and the last thing they needed was more presents.  Despite the lack of party, they still managed to get lots of presents, have 2 cakes and tons of fun.

I uploaded pics backwards...ooops.
Violet had her 1st piece of cake....

 she obviously liked it!

Presley's obsessed with Tangled, she got a new doll.

Violet had to get in on the action of opening gifts...

Cash was explaining how his crane works.  He loves trucks.

Presley got a new CD player.

Their cakes....a Cinderella cake for her and a Kung Fu Panda cake for him.

Cash had a little trouble blowing out the candles...

We spent the afternoon at the Pacific Science Center.  Kids had fun.  Presley had a little accident while we were there...notice the leopard pants, they were all I had in my bag.

We showed them their cakes in the morning.  I had lots of balloons for them too.
The end.

On Sunday we celebrated at my dad's house, with more gifts and more cake.  Pics to come....

I can't believe they turned 3.  I can't believe I've been a mom for 3 years now.  I can't believe how fast time flies.  I have to remember to cherish every moment because time goes by so fast.  Every moment counts.  I have the rest of my life to work, travel, or spend time with friends, but these early moments in a child's life are moments you can NEVER get back.  EVER.  So, tucking them in at night, laying with them, reading to them, giving them a bath, watching them play and laugh, teaching them, is what makes me smile.  They give me purpose.

3 years ago today, I brought them home from the hospital.  My whole world changed.  And I'll tell you, if I could go back to the beginning I would...toddler life is hell!  Newborn stage is easy.....

Nine Months.

So, baby V turned 9 months.  I feel like every time I blink, she gets bigger.

Stats:
15.11 lbs-5%
I totally forgot her height....bad mom.  We spent so much time talking about how little she weighs.  The Dr. isn't so concerned about it, it just makes me nervous.  I ask myself all the time if she's eating enough.  I feel like all I do is feed her.  But, she's also been crawling on all 4's since she was 6 months old and has been super active.  I guess she'll just be a peanut forever!

Rub-a-dub-dub

There isn't anything cuter than 3 babes in a bath.

Best Friends.

When they aren't fighting, pinching, biting, or hitting eachother, they can be quite sweet to one another.
