The Home Stretch.

I only have 5 weeks left. I will never be pregnant again, so I guess I should probably really enjoy these last few weeks of feeling this little baby move inside me. I forgot what an amazing feeling this is and with just one baby in there, it moves and grooves all day long! Yes, it is an "it" for now. I know it's a baby, but without knowing the sex, it's an "it" to me.

It's also a very strange feeling knowing that that Cash and Presley won't be the "babies" anymore. I just really want to take in these next few weeks with them. They are turning into little people now, so I guess right now is the perfect time for another baby to enter the scene. I really think Presley is going to be such a good big sister, where as I think Cash might get a little jealous and be a little rough towards the baby. He's turning into a boy. A rough and tough boy. At times you catch him in his cuddly lovey stage, but then quickly he returns to being a monster. I asked my dr. about that yesterday, he said he'll return one day, but for now it's a typical stage for a boy. So deep down, I am secretly crossing my fingers for a little girl. Mostly, just to protect Presley. Presley against 2 boys....poor little girl. Maybe having 2 sisters will calm Cash down?? So, for all those new moms who have cute little cuddly sweet boys right now, embrace every moment, they change into monsters! Seriously!

The weeks ahead are luckily jam packed with stuff to do, so hopefully this time will go by fast. I actually am looking forward to my hospital stay. I believe it to be a mini vacation. Spend one day being a mom to twin toddlers and giving birth and staying in a hospital with a newborn is a vacation. Seriously. It's going to be a hard adjustment, but I think going from 2 to 3 kids will be easier than going from 0 to 2. How the hell did Travis and I do it? Being brand new parents to 2 newborns? Seriously? And we are still married and alive to talk about it. It was a blur. It blows me away. It just goes to show how strong I can be. I can do this. I can do this.

Today Travis has a double header for baseball, so we'll be going down to the baseball park. Cash is OBSESSED with baseball. It's obvioulsy in his blood, since both his dad and uncle have been playing forever. Travis is so happy about this. Immediately when Travis walks through the door, Cash has his bat in hand and wants Travis to pitch the ball to him. For a 2 year old, he's got a pretty good throw and swing. Then, Travis has a meeting with a new client tonight, so it'll be a long day, just me and the twinnies......
