More Pics

Mr. Cash Gibson being held by Uncle Austin.

Presley was just laying in the headrest with her finger like this. It was just too funny to pass up. Those are head rests that you use on airplanes and they just fit their little heads perfectly!

Presley passed out after getting weighed at the dr.'s office. She loves her "Binky"!!

Cash also passed out in the dr.'s office. I was so surprised that they were sleeping because they just had been weighed and they hate being naked.

Travis and Alayna at the Dr.'s office. They had their appointment on Monday. Cash weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. and Presley weighed 5 lbs 13 ozs. Perfect and healthy little babies:)

10 Days Old!!

I can't even believe how time flies........the babies are already 10 days old!!

Last night we had our first "good" night. The babies went to bed and stayed asleep and didn't cry! They woke up every 3 hours for a feeding and diaper change, so thankfully they let Mom and Dad get at least 6-7 hours of sleep! Hopefully this lasts........we'll see.

Every day it seems to get easier. We are getting used to feeding, changing diapers, and handling them. We are trying to keep them up more during the day and using their swings and bouncers. They love to look around.

Yesterday was the first time I got to leave the house since they were born besides going to the Dr. on Monday. I hadn't driven my car in almost 2 weeks and I splurged and went to Fred Meyer by myself. It was weird not being pregnant and seeing people I knew without a huge belly and people asking me when I was due?

People have been so nice, stopping by bringing food, so thankfully I haven't had to cook! It's been wonderful!

The body is slowing going back to normal. I actually tried to fit into my jeans yesterday, obviously just to torture myself. I could put them on, I just couldn't button them. Soon though.......

The babies are doing so well! Getting bigger and bigger. I just still can't believe that Travis and I made these beautiful little people. We just feel so blessed to have these little bundles of joy.

The night before last was a brutal night. Cash and Presley cried until 4 am and I literally thought I was going to go nuts. But then, I woke up in the morning (they didn't wake up until 11 am because they had a crying hangover, so we did get some sleep:)) and went in and looked at them sleeping so peacefully, it was worth it. They are just so innocent.

Well, I gotta go and get in the shower. I actually think this is my favorite part of the day!

Oh, my cell phone has been broken for the past few days, so that is why I haven't been calling or returning phone calls. Travis is going today to get me an new one!

Miss everyone!

More Saturday Pics.

Me just watching Cash do his normal....cry! He's still so cute.
Cash sleeping! He's so cute!! He looks like Travis and has his little butt chin. His hair was kind of a reddish color when he was born, but has darkened up. He also was kinda jaundice, but it's getting better.
My favorite......baby feet. these are Presley's. So adorable!!!
Two babies napping.....my favorite! Cash already loves his binky and Presley is already hard at thinking and scratching her head for ideas.
Passed out!!! So peaceful and adorable!!

Saturday Pictures

Travis's sister Lana and Dan with the first set of twins in Travis's family, 10 year old's Damian and Kaylee. They told us they'd babysit. They better really mean it, because I am sure we'll need it!! If Lana has gotten through this, I know I can. Dan loves babies, so I am sure he'll be over very ofter:)
Auntie Alayna holding Presley. Alayna came over on Saturday and I think she had a baby in her arms the entire day. She even changed dirty diapers and did the dishes. She is still her today (Monday) and has been such a good Auntie, sister and help!!
Grandpa Randy holding Cash!! He can't believe that I am a parent. He still remembers me as a little girl. He came with Alayna on Saturday to help out!
Grandma Karen holding both of the twinies!! She came last Sunday and left yesterday, Sunday. She was such a help, making food, doing laundry, holding babies, cleaning, etc. I couldn't have done this without her. She loves being a grandma and is so happy that I have two babies bc that always means she can hold one!
This is little Presley in a neck thing you use on plane rides. It's kinda like a miniture bobby. They are too small for normal size boppy's, so this works perfect. After a feeding, she's buzzed off breast milk and sleep like a little angel.

Day 4

Whoever said that being a parent isn't the most challenging thing they have ever done, clearly doesn't have children. I am 100% exhausted and I know Travis can say the same thing. It's 8:30am on Monday as I write this and the house is quite. No babies crying, no television, no people talking, it's the most peaceful sound I have ever heard....silence! I am enjoying these last few moments of it before the babies wake up. I am letting Travis have a bit more sleep bc he was up with our child, Cash, for quite a while last night.

Cash........is our child that loves to cry, be held 100% of the time, have a binky in his mouth, a boob in his mouth and he poops a lot!!! Presley, on the other hand will sleep peacefully in her crib while her brother cries loudly in her ear. She only wakes every few hours just because she is hungry or has a dirty diaper. Then, she goes back to bed.

This is what I do on daily basis and it's in this order: Breastfeed, change diapers, try to eat a meal, take a shower but I quickly throw clothes on, try to get a nap in while we have visitors and lastly and the thing I loved the most ask anyone that knew me during my pregnancy.......watch my favorite shows and sleep.

One thing I have found out since I have had these babies is that Travis and I have the most wonderful family and friends that anyone could ever possibly ask for. We are so lucky to have the help and support that we have. I don't think that I would be alive right now if we didn't. Last night was our first night that we actually had to put a dinner meal together for ourselves. I ate left overs and Travis had Campus-U-Tote-Em. (burger and fries-he said he deserved a treat, which he did!!!) So I just wanted to thank everyone that has come over and seen them, it makes me feel like the most popular girl, but I know that nobody is coming to see me, they are coming to see the little king and queen of our house, since Travis and I are no longer! Cash and Presley rule this house and rule Travis and I.

They have the first dr. appt today! I have been running a bit of a fever for the past few days, so I am excited to get it checked out. The babies are doing fantastic. They already are changing and getting more and more cute everyday. The have completely distinct personalities, but look like brother and sister. They still are so tiny-just two little peanuts!!

I love being a mom! It's the best thing in the entire world X 1,000,000!!!! I am so blessed to have a family. Travis and I look at each other every night and just can't believe what we have!

Day 2

Well, Travis and I survived the first night home from the hospital. My mom and Travis were nice enough to let me sleep until 5:30am, while they attended to the babies. I was so exhausted and needed a break. My c-section hurts, so I walked hunched over, so now my back hurts. Travis also has a sore neck, so basically we are pathetic and it's actually hilarious to witness.

We have been so grateful for vistitors that have been stopping by, bringing food, gifts, etc. I feel so popular, actually nobody is here to see me, they are here for the babies.

The babies are doing so well. I still can't believe they are mine! I just instantly have so much love for these babies I couldn't imagine not having them. However, being a mom and taking care of two newborns at the same time is the most challenging thing I have ever done in my life.

I just love my family!

xoxo,

The twins are finally here! They are 2 of the most precious babies I have ever seen and I am not just saying that because they are mine.....they are absolutely adorable!!

Presley Marie Gibson 6.2lbs

Cash Vince Gibson 7.3 lbs

Big babies! I can't believe that they were in my belly. I had 13.5 lbs of baby!! It's just so crazy to imagine that.

I am still in the hospital and I will be able to go home either tonight or tomorrow morning however we are wanting to stay another night because the nurses take care of the babies while Dad and Mom get some sleep.
So far, they have very good. They are learning to eat, which has been hard, however they make more and more progress everyday. They sleep a lot also, which is nice bc it gives me time to take naps.

I just started eating solid food todays. I have been on Jello and chicken broth diet for the past few days. I enjoyed my first Starbucks latte this morning. And I took my first shower-woohoo!!

The c-section went quite well. I was so surprised at how brave I was. It seriously was the weirdest experience I have ever had. The surgery only took an hour.

Presley had to spend a while hooked up to oxygen bc she had a hard time breathing on her own. I finally got to see her at 6pm. But, Travis stayed right by her side the entire time, while I was recovering with Cash.

They are the most perfect babies ever!! I can't believe that Travis and I created these little munchkins:) I just love them more than anything in the entire world!!
We've been lucky to have a lot of visitors, everyone is so excited to see the new little additons to our family.
Anyways, I'll write more, I could go on and on for hours.

Travis has strained his neck because he's been staring down at babies. It's kinda funny:)

Babies Birthday!!

Today is the day that the babies are coming! I go in to hospital in about 30 minutes. The c-section got pushed back to noon, so at about 12:15, I'll have 2 babies:)

We are so excited and very nervous. I can't eat today, so I am absolutely starving!! My blood pressure is probably through the roof!

Pray for us today!! I'll put pics up as soon as possible!!

Next post I'll be a mom!

37.5 weeks

Yes.....I am still pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My C-Section is scheduled for Tuesday at 8am. So the babies will be born on Feb. 12th:)

My dr. says I am just really good at keeping babies inside. He's really impressed that I have had such a great pregnancy. My blood pressure is a bit higher, but I have no swelling. I am really uncomfortable and have been spending a lot of time in bed.

This is going to be the longest weekend ever! I am so annoyed to still be pregnant, but the longer the babies stay in me, the healthier they'll be.

This will probably be my last post until the babies!!!!!

Yea:)

36.5 weeks.......

I have made it this far, which is so good for a twin pregnancy. We went to the dr. yesterday and he told me that I am the best twin pregnancy he's ever seen in his career! That made me feel good. He was also suprised that I haven't gone into labor yet. So, we are keeping our fingers crossed for any now...............so everyone pray for babies:)

My blood pressure was high, but that is because I was rushed in getting ready for the appt. Travis and I slept in, we had to go to Starbucks and when I was in the room getting my blood pressure taken, Travis was on his work phone, so I was a bit stressed. I only gained a pound last week, so so far I have gained 36 pounds, which is good for a twin pregnancy.

We talked about delivery options with the dr. and and we decided that we are going to go ahead and have a c-section. We feel that this the best for the babies. I don't want them to become stressed during a vaginal delievery and have to end up having a c-section, so for those reasons, we are going to have a c-section. I am perfectly okay with that decision. I didn't have my heart set on having them either way, I just want to do what is best for the babies. So, if I don't go into labor before, which most likely I will, we scheduled a c-section at 38 weeks. I hope I don't go that far bc that is another week and a half, and I can't wait that long.

My belly measured 47 cm, so my belly didn't grow last week. I feel fine. No swelling-I am just starting to get really uncomfortable!! The dr. thinks that I have about 12-14 pounds of just baby in me!! Can you believe that?? I can't imagine them being that big, but we'll see!

After the appointment we had another stress test at the hospital where they monitor the fetal heartbeat and movements along with my uterine contractions. I have been having contractions more frequently, but nothing major. It took about an hour and Travis was with me the entire time.

So, with all that said, we are just waiting.............................hopefully soon!! Everyone keep your fingers crossed and pray for babies!! I want them to come now!!

Hopefully my next post will be with baby pics:)
